Citizenship perspectives as repertories for participation: towards a complementary approach

The aim of this essay is to contribute to the understanding of the concept of citizenship, showing that actually different perspectives coexist, they complement the repertory of resources that citizenship use in situations with specific objectives. In first section we will transit for the build of the think of citizenship in the modernity, highlights perspectives nourish it. In a second section, the coexistence of these different perspectives is argued, for it we rescue some experiences of indigenous populations of Oaxaca and the process of election of municipal authorities by their own regulatory system in the municipality of Ayutla de los Libres, Guerrero, México, in 2018.
