Abstract

The objective of the paper is to examine the evolution of the agricultural sector and its territorial impact in the geographical space of the North East región of Mexico. The analysis was carried out in two stages: first, the Economic Specialization Index was calculated with the aim of determining the weight of economy activity; and, in the second step, the Morán index and the spatial Shift-Share technique were implemented to classify the municipalities according to the type of results by the different-structural method, and propose action lines for the municipalities of the North-East región.
